Houston Texans second-year wide receiver Jaelen Strong was arrested on charges of marijuana possession on Sunday night in Scottsdale, Ariz., according to ABC 15 in Phoenix.

Strong, 22, was a third-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and was reportedly with Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall when the pair were pulled over by police on Sunday. The report alleges that Strong admitted to having marijuana before handing police a cigar box with three marijuana cigarettes inside.

Texans general manager Rick Smith released a statement saying that the team is aware of the incident.

"We are disappointed in the choices Jaelen made to put himself in the situation," the statement said. The Texans declined further comment,

Both Strong and Randall starred at Arizona State University and were joined in the car by a third unnamed passenger, according to ABC 15, although both Randall and the other passenger were released without an arrest. On Saturday, the pair of players, along with Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Marcus Hardison, were the featured guests at a party in Scottsdale.

Strong caught 14 passes for 161 yards as a rookie with three touchdowns, including a Hail Mary grab against the Indianapolis Colts. Randall had three interceptions in his rookie season and another in the postseason.
