Congratulations, Denver Broncos fans! Your team is the 2016 Super Bowl champion. In what was never really a close game, the Broncos pulled away from the Carolina Panthers in the fourth quarter for the 24-10 victory.
This victory comes just two seasons after being blown out by the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII, 43-8.
Von Miller led a dominant Denver defense in shutting down the league's most valuable player, Cam Newton. Miller picked up 2.5 of his team's seven sacks and caused two fumbles, both of which set up the Broncos' only touchdowns in the game. For his efforts, he was named the Super Bowl's most valuable player.
This is the Broncos' third championship, coming in their record-tying eighth appearance. The other two wins came in back-to-back seasons in 1997 and 1998. They are now tied with the Raiders and Washington for seventh place all-time with three titles apiece (the record is six wins by the Steelers).
