Aqib Talib may have shot himself in the leg. He's not really sure.

New, comments

The Broncos cornerback can't really remember the details surrounding his shooting in Dallas last weekend.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Did Aqib Talib accidentally shoot himself? This is a really strange situation. The Broncos cornerback was reportedly shot at a Dallas nightclub, but he told police that it happened in park where he was hanging out at 3:30 a.m. local. Now, he's telling people that he shot himself in the right leg, according to Mike Kils of 9 News in Denver. Police are investigating. Talib has also said that he was "too intoxicated to remember what happened."

Talib is going to miss the rest of the Broncos offseason work. But he should be back on the field early in training camp.

BEAST MODE CONTINUES TO BE THE BEST

Marshawn Lynch made it clear that he is definitely retiring, very clear. That's been a big takeaway from Beast Mode's interview with 60 Minutes Sports, but the whole interview is great and well worth your time. When asked about his reputation for being financially savvy, Lynch went all the way back to his childhood in Oakland:

Host: Everybody I've spoken to about you has referenced your financial savvy. What's the source of that?
Marshawn: You ate cereal before?

Host: I've eaten cereal.
Marshawn: Alright. Have you ever had a roach in your cereal before?

Host: No.
Marshawn: You haven't, right?

Host: I have not.
Marshawn: If you came from eatin' cereal with roaches in it before, Dawg ... Feel what I'm sayin'? You wouldn't want to do that again, right? Once you've seen the lowest of the low, you don't want to go back. But, like I told you before, it's not me -- I have a good team and some smart family members around me.

Damn. I know he's retired, but I hope Marshawn is still somehow part of our lives.

A CHANGE OF COURSE IN THE WILL SMITH MURDER TRIAL

New evidence could change the course of the Will Smith murder trial. For three months defense attorneys in New Orleans have portrayed the shooting of former Saints defensive end Will Smith as an act of self defense by Cardell Hayes. That changed at last week's pre-trial hearing.

REVIEWING THE O.J. SIMPSON DOCUMENTARY

ESPN's O.J. Simpson documentary is the best thing they have ever done. OJ: Made in America is a seven-hour story about LA, race, the criminal justice system, media, and celebrity. But it never forgets the violent crime that stitched all those topics together.

BEST IN THE WEST?

Are the Raiders the best team in the AFC West? ESPN and Pro Football Focus say the Raiders have the seventh-best roster in the NFL.

GARBAGE LINE

Brian Orakpo called the Eagles' offensive line "garbage" while defending DeMarco Murray. He's kinda got a point.

BRONCOS IN THE WHITE HOUSE

The Broncos went to the White House and met President Obama. But the real star of the show was Wade Philips, the 68-year-old Twitter genius and Broncos DC who gave us a tour of the White House.
