Cardinals vs. Bills 2016 picks and predictions: Arizona the heavy favorite to win

The Bills are in free fall, and few experts predict them to beat the Cardinals this week.

The Buffalo Bills are 0-2 and things are already unraveling for Rex Ryan's squad. The Arizona Cardinals are 1-1 and once again look like they'll be one of the best teams in football. They square off in Week 3 with both teams heading in opposite directions.

Ryan entered the season with a lot of pressure to end Buffalo's playoff drought, but things have not been trending in the right direction for him. After a 37-31 loss to the New York Jets on Thursday night, the Bills fired offensive coordinator Greg Roman, which was seen as a strange move since the offense scored 31 points and it was Ryan's defense that let Ryan Fitzpatrick have his way all night. Either way, the team moves on with Anthony Lynn as the new coordinator.

The Cardinals rebounded from a heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots and stomped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, 40-7. Carson Palmer threw for 304 yards and Larry Fitzgerald had another big day, hauling in five catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. The defense swarmed Tampa's promising offensive unit, picking off Jameis Winston four times and also forcing him to lose a fumble. The pass rush, arguably Arizona's biggest weakness last season, looks much improved with Chandler Jones in the fold.

With the Seattle Seahawks struggling and dealing with key injuries, the Cardinals could have a clear path to the NFC West title once again. The Bills' star receiver, Sammy Watkins, is slowed down by a sore foot and will be covered by Patrick Peterson this week. Things won't be any easier for a Bills team desperately trying to get back on track.

Predictably, the Cardinals are heavy favorites in this one. They're unanimous picks at both ESPN and CBS Sports, and eight people here at SB Nation are also siding with Arizona. Stephen White and Thomas George have a little hope for Buffalo, though, being the only writers on this site to pick the Bills springing the upset.
