Andrew Luck has looked better in two games this season than he did over all of last year. Unfortunately, the Indianapolis Colts are 0-2 to start their season despite this.
Many credit Peyton Manning making the Colts a better team around him over his time in Indianapolis, but Luck doesn't seem to have that same magic. But he's played well, with 52 completions for 582 yards and five touchdowns. Luck has thrown just one interception after throwing 12 of them in seven games last season.
But he's also beat up. And sore. And he's not getting help from anybody. The Colts lost to the Detroit Lions, 39-35 in Week 1, and to the Denver Broncos, 34-20, in Week 2. On Sunday, they will try and right their course against the San Diego Chargers.
San Diego is about as beat up as Luck is, if not worse. Quarterback Philip Rivers is healthy, but he lost star receiver Keenan Allen to a torn ACL in Week 1. Danny Woodhead also sustained the same injury in Week 2. The Colts have allowed a league-worst 73 points in two weeks though, and Rivers will be hoping for a big day.
Three of the eight experts with CBS Sports think the Colts will win it, leaving five picking the Chargers to win on Sunday. There are more fans of the Colts over at ESPN, where five of the nine experts are picking them to beat San Diego, leaving four picking the Chargers.
Here at SB Nation, experts have more of a consensus.
