Quarterback Tom Brady, who brought the New England Patriots back from a 25-point deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, said running back James White deserved to win the Super Bowl MVP.

After commissioner Roger Goodell handed Brady the Super Bowl LI MVP award, the five-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback held a press conference and said White is “just the best teammate.”

"I am so proud of him and everything that he has accomplished,” Brady said. “He is like my oldest son. He does everything right and you can't ever get mad at him."

The young running back hauled in 14 passes, a Super Bowl record, for 110 yards and three total touchdowns. He also scored the game-winning touchdown to give New England the 34-28 victory.

Brady also threw for 466 yards to go along with two touchdowns and an interception. The veteran signal caller called the victory a “great team performance.”

“For me to be part of five championship teams is a great feeling because I've been part of five great teams.”

However, someone stole Brady’s jersey from the locker room after the victory. He said he put it in his bag, came out, and it wasn't there anymore.

"That's a nice piece of memorabilia. So if it shows up on eBay somewhere, someone let me know."
