3 reasons why the internet thinks the Super Bowl was totally rigged

New, comments

It’s a conspiracy and you need to open up your eyes.

NFL: Super Bowl LI-New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Noted cheating NFL franchise, the New England Patriots, cheated again to win the Super Bowl in the rigged NFL. I am sure of this because the internet does not lie. There are three things that show beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was not an accident or extreme organizational competence that won the day for the Pats. Even Joel Embiid agrees, and he even gives supplemental information to explain questionable play calling by Atlanta.

The league is rigged so the glamour franchise can again be atop the mountain. Here is why.

The Donald Trump factor.

The President of the United States won the 2016 election with odds stacked against him. There is evidence of Russian involvement in the proceedings, and we are aware that Tom Brady and Donald Trump are friends. He said this about Trump in 2015.

"Donald is a good friend of mine," said Brady, whom Trump has described in the past as "a total winner." "I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say. He’s a good friend of mine."

And there is, of course, the infamous shot of the Make America Great Again hat behind him in the locker taken back in 2015.

Trump is, among other things, the star of an orchestrated reality TV series as well as someone who has participated in scripted professional wrestling events.

Trump also left his Super Bowl party shortly after halftime when the game was still very much in doubt. But if he knew the result perhaps there was no reason to stick around for proceedings.

If the election could be somehow rigged, then certainly the biggest sporting event in the western hemisphere could be, as well.

Counterpoint: He’s got a country to run and probably needed to get some sleep.

The on-screen graphic.

Wake up sheeple, Fox knew the result all along and just put it on the screen early.

Thankfully our friends here have DVR to record it for posterity.

Counterpoint: The concept of overtime can be kinda confusing, especially because the college game does the extra period demonstrably differently.

The NFL revamped its overtime rules in the 2010 season. Unlike the previous sudden-death system, both teams have a chance of getting at least one possession. If the team that wins the coin toss fails to score a touchdown, the other team will get the ball and play continues.

The game was broadcast by Fox, and as we got into the free football session they tried to clear the confusion by clearly explaining what would happen if the Patriots marched the ball down the field into the end zone on the first drive.

The spot.

The piece de resistance for this rigged event. James White scored the game’s winning touchdown. But just look at White’s knee here, which the refs obviously missed. This is the second spot that has been highly disputed in football this year. Coincidentally, Michigan man Tom Brady comes out on the winning side of this spot.

I tried to tell y'all but the Super Bowl is rigged just like the Presidential Elections!

Counterpoint: Pay no mind to the fact that the thing in the circle is actually White’s Bicep and not the ball breaking the plane (which it did). The defender’s right leg is also shielding the ball, and because it was called a touchdown on the field at the very least this couldn’t have been overturned.
