As it turns out, the Kings didn't needed to acquire a top-flight scorer in the off-season, they just needed one of their own to return to past form.
↵Justin Williams, a two-time 30-goal scorer for Carolina, has seemingly regained his form after three injury-plagued seasons as evident by the goal he scored Thursday night as Los Angeles blanked Tampa Bay, 1-0.

Williams has showed only flashes of his previous scoring touch in his two plus seasons in L.A. but this year his hot start -- goals in four straight and a team-high six on the season -- is one of the big reasons the Kings are leading the NHL in wins (nine) and points (18).
