Predators Vs. Canucks: Shea Weber Breaks Scoreless Game Early In Third

The first goal of the game has come at the :37 mark of the third period. Shea Weber found the back of the net as Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo was flopping around after losing his stick and Vancouver defenseman Christian Ehrhoff was injured by a teammate's stick. Assists on the goal came from Martin Erat and Sergei Kostitsyn.

The Predators and Canucks are playing the type of game that feels like both teams are mailing it in before the all-star break. There have been a total of 9 powerplay chances in the game and a total of 41 shots by both teams, Nashville leads 21-20. With the fact that it has taken so long for a goal to be scored in this game, this goal could very well end up as the game winning goal.

Both Luongo and Rinne have had relatively easy games, with both Rinne and Luongo making 20 saves on the night. Both teams have kept their opponent to the outside and not allowed a lot of high risk shots that would require the goaltender to make an impressive save.
