Predators Vs. Canucks: Lee Sweatt and Alex Burrows Give Canucks 2-1 Lead

After neither team could find the back of the net through two periods, Alex Burrows scores at the 10:39 mark in the third period to tie the game up at one. He outbattled former Canuck Shane O'Brien for the puck in front of Rinne and just put it past the goaltender. Assists on the goal come from former Predator Dan Hamhuis. Roughly two minutes later, Lee Sweatt scores in his first NHL game to give the Canucks a 2-1 lead with seven minutes left in the third period. The assists on that goal comes from Daniel Sedin.

The Canucks have turned around their game after coming out flat in the first period. They have outshot the Predators 26-11 in the final two periods after being outshot 12-4 in the first period. Roberto Luongo kept the Canucks in the game early and his offense is seeming to find their opportunities late. Luongo has made 23 saves in this game while Rinne has made 29 saves thus far in the game.
