Hurricanes Vs. Bruins Score: 'Canes Beat Bruins 4-1 In Penalty-Marred Game

The Boston Bruins lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 Tuesday night, watching their coach, Claude Julien, get ejected in the process. The defending champs fell to 2-4-0 behind backup goalie Tuukka Rask's second loss in two starts. Anthony Stewart, Joni Pitkanen, Eric Staal, and Tuomo Ruutu scored the goals for the 'Canes while Rich Peverly scored the Bruins' lone goal.

The story of this game was the penalties. The Bruins, clearly frustrated with their sluggish start and championship hangover, were looking to pick fights, a strategy that resulted in power play after power play. This is the recap of all the penalties in the game, just to give you an idea of just how ugly this game was. There's a lot of "BOS" on that list, which is why Julien was tossed. This was a great win for the Hurricanes, though, as they go to 3-2-1 on the season.
