Current Versus analyst and former Boston Bruin Mike Milbury has been charged with assault and battery on a 12-year-old, according to police. The dust-up occurred at a pee wee hockey game in Brookline, MA, on Dec. 9, according to the report. Details are scant at this point, though the incident was apparently sparked by an on-ice tussle between Milbury's son and the victim, a player on the opposing team. Milbury reportedly charged the ice and grabbed and shook the victim.
Officially, Milbury has been charged with assault and battery on a child, threats to commit a crime and disorderly conduct. He, nor his lawyers, have yet to respond to any requests for comment. Milbury is an assistant coach on his son's Brookline youth team. He played 12 seasons playing for the Bruins, and served as head coach for one before moving on to become an analyst for Versus NHL.
