Vancouver Liquor Stores Closing Before Faceoff Of Canucks-Bruins Game 6

In anticipation of the mayhem that will be the City of Vancouver on this Monday night, the British Columbia Liquor Control and Licensing Branch has requested that liquor stores in the City close at 4 p.m. local time. That's 7 p.m. ET, one hour before puck drop Stanley Cup Finals Game 6 between the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins.

The streets are set to be packed again in downtown Vancouver, even though the game is over 4,000 miles away at Boston's TD Garden. Should the Canucks win their first ever Stanley Cup on Monday night, it's probably for the best that alcohol sales will be stopped long before-hand.

Besides: the bars are still open, anyway.
