Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins Joining Today Show On Friday Morning

The Boston Bruins are headed on a whirlwind media tour following Wednesday's Game 7 win over the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Finals. Forgotten in all the riot non-sense is the fact Boston did win the Stanley Cup with an impressive performance from Tim Thomas. And on Friday morning, three of the major players from the Bruins Stanley Cup run will drop by the Today Show and NHL Network.

The scheduling update comes from Fangsbites on Twitter.

Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron and Tim Thomas bring the Stanley Cup to the Today show tomorrow at 8:30 am. Then go to NHL Network at 9:30.

It may be the first of many appearances, especially for Thomas. The Bruins goaltender was a brick wall throughout the NHL playoffs, but especially in the Stanley Cup Finals. Thomas was a big reason the Bruins were able to even the series in Game 6 and win it on the Canucks home ice in Game 7 to clinch the Stanley Cup. And for his efforts, he earned the Conn-Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
