Winter Classic 2012: Starting Lineups For New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers

We're just minutes from puck drop at the 2012 Winter Classic in Philadelphia, and as The Roots perform in left field, the teams are ready to come out onto the ice. The starting lineups for each team have been announced, and Marc Staal will start the game on the bench. Staal is playing on the third pairing with Stu Bickel. Jeff Woywitka is the late scratch.

Starting on defense for the Rangers will be the top pairing of Dan Girardi and Ryan McDonagh. They'll be going with their top line of Carl Hagelin, Brad Richards and captain Ryan Callahan. Henrik Lundqvist starts in goal for New York.

For the Philadelphia Flyers, they'll also go with their top line in Claude Giroux, Jaromir Jagr and Scott Hartnell to kick off the game. Braydon Coburn and Kimmo Timonen start things off on defense, while Sergei Bobrovsky gets the nod in goal over usual starter Ilya Bryzgalov.

Patti LaBelle, a Philadelphia native, will sing the Star Spangled Banner.
