2012 Swiss Hockey standings: Logan Couture leads Genève Servette top of A League

Genève Servette continues to lead the Swiss National A League with help from San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture.

Genève Servette continue to top the Swiss National A League standings as they top the league with 46 points in 20 games. Genève have stretched their lead to nine points over second-place Zürcher Schlittschuh Club Lions while Fribourg-Gottéron remain in third place with 33 points.

San Jose Sharks all-star center Logan Couture has been one of the team leaders for Genève, as he is tied with Dan Fritsche for the team lead in points with 21. Montreal Canadians defenseman Yannick Weber has also been a big addition for Genève, recording three goals and nine assists for a total of 12 points in just 17 games.

Fourth-place HC Lugano have a pair of NHL players that are helping the club try to chase the top three teams. Boston Bruins winger Patrice Bergeron has already recorded eight goals and eight assists in his first eight games in the A League while Anaheim Ducks defenseman Luca Sbisa has three goals and four assists for Lugano in 15 games for the club.
