World Junior hockey TV schedule 2013: NHL Network to show all Team USA games

The network's first original programming in months will be live broadcasts of Team USA's games from Ufa, Russia.

NHL Network will provide wall-to-wall coverage of the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship. The league-owned channel -- which has been in rerun mode (plus occasional CHL games) for months -- will present 18 live games to its United States audience, including original productions of every single game played by Team USA.

All games will also be streamed live on NHL.com for U.S. viewers only.

Their coverage begins Dec. 20 with USA's pre-tournament warmup against Finland, and it ends Jan. 5 with the bronze and gold medal games from Ufa, Russia.

Games will be airing early in the morning, but remember, we're in a lockout. Reruns will be plentiful in primetime.

As has been the case since the 2009 tournament in Ottawa, NHL Network will send their own crews to cover Team USA's games. This will be the first time the network has sent a crew to Europe for the WJCs. Steve Mears (play-by-play), EJ Hradek (color) and Rob Simpson (reporter) will be on the call for the network. In almost all other cases, the channel will simulcast TSN's coverage

What follows is the NHL Network's live schedule for the 2013 World Juniors.
