2012 KHL schedule: A few NHL players on display in Saturday's slate

Saturday is a quiet day in the KHL, but a few of the NHL's best are still out on the ice.

There are only three games on Saturday's KHL slate, but two of them will go a long way to determining if either Avangard or Ak Bars Kazan will take home the Eastern Conference crown - and even if you're not following the tight KHL conference races, there are some of the NHL's best locked-out players on the ice as well.

Dinamo Minsk, not to be confused with Western Conference-leading Dynamo Moscow, takes on Severstal, which features Dallas center Tom Wandell.

On the other side of the slate, Slovan Bratislava, home to Slovak-born NHL players Andrej Sekera (Buffalo Sabres) and Lubomir Visnovsky (New York Islanders), tussles with Ak Bars Kazan, which doesn't feature any notable NHL players on its roster but still is tied with Avangard for the Eastern Conference lead.

Avangard and Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Nikita Nikitin face Latvia's Dinamo Riga, which touts Ottawa Senators youngster Kaspars Daugavins on its roster.
