The Dallas Stars will officially be announcing the hiring of former players Mark Recchi, Marty Turco and Mike Modano for positions with the organization during a press conference on Thursday.
The press conference will be held during the team's "IceBreaker" event, which will be hosted at American Airlines Arena.
As of this writing, the organization has yet to announce what capacity the former players' roles will be. However, a screen shot of the team's website displayed that both Modano and Recchi would be acting in executive roles. It is believed that Turco will become a member of the team's television broadcast.
Both Modano and Turco had spent time with the Stars' organization as players.
Modano was the team's No. 1 overall pick in the 1988 NHL Draft, when they were still located in Minnesota and called the North Stars. Spending all but one year of his career with the organization, Modano registered 561 goals and 813 assists for a total of 1,374 points over the course of 1,499 regular season games.
Turco was selected by the organization with the No. 124 overall pick in the 1994 NHL Draft.
While Recchi never played for the Stars, he is a co-owner of the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League with Stars owner Tom Gaglardi.
