The New Jersey Devils entered the third period of Tuesday's game clinging to a one-goal lead, and for the first 12 minutes of the period and limited the Tampa Bay Lightning to just a single shot on goal.
That is probably the best way to protect that lead given how much the Devils' goaltending has struggled at times this season, including Tuesday's starter Martin Brodeur.
But even with his struggles this season Brodeur is still a Hall of Famer, and even though he's not anywhere the player he used to be, he's still capable of flashing some of that brilliance.
Tampa Bay's Valtteri Filppula found that out when Brodeur busted out this old fashioned kick save.
