Big win for the Washington Capitals on Friday night as they overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit to beat the Detroit Red Wings in a shootout. Part of that comeback involved rookie Michael Latta scoring his first NHL goal to tie with less than 10 minutes to play.
Judging by this picture, he absolutely freaked out about it. And really now, who can blame him?

And that is one of the best photos of the NHL season to date.
Here is look at the goal.
In their past eight games the Capitals have won six and gained at least a point in seven. They are now in second place in the Metropolitan Division, trailing the Pittsburgh Penguins by just one point.
Not bad for a team that opened the season by losing seven of its first 12.
