Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Andrej Sekera does not score many goals. He entered play on Thursday with just 19 in 360 career games and has never scored more than four in a season.
Well, he scored his third of the season in the second period against the Detroit Red Wings and it was a beauty of a goal as he joined the rush and turned Red Wings forward Todd Bertuzzi into a traffic cone.

That goal tied the game for Carolina as it erased a 2-0 deficit in the second period.
