Nathan MacKinnon, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NHL draft, has had his share of highlight reel plays to start his career with the Colorado Avalanche.
On Monday night against Dallas he showed that he has a pretty wicked shot when he beat Kari Lehtonen with this snipe, beating the Stars goalie just over his glove hand. Matt Duchene helps create the play by driving to the net and occupying a pair of Stars defenders to give MacKinnon a clear lane, and then rest is simply MacKinnon blowing one past the goalie.
The goal was MacKinnon's seventh of the season.
