Sidney Crosby splits the D for overtime winner

Late in the second period on Tuesday night against the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin tied his teammate, Sidney Crosby, for the NHL points lead when he set up James Neal for a power play goal.

That tie only lasted until overtime of the Penguins' 3-2 win.

That's when Crosby scored the game-winner by splitting the Islanders' defense and taking back sole possession of first place in the NHL's scoring race with this absolute beauty of a goal.

That's a little reminiscent of the goal he scored in the playoffs last season when he also split between a couple of defenders.

The Penguins overcame a terrible start that included a couple of bad giveaways and a bad goal by Marc-Andre Fleury to come from behind and pick up their 19th win of the season.
