The Chicago Blackhawks were already mad at Antoine Roussel entering their game on Tuesday night after the Dallas Stars forward took a couple of runs at Patrick Kane in their last meeting.
Late in the first period on Tuesday he had to answer for such transgressions by dropping the gloves with Andrew Shaw in what was one of the most spirited fights of the young season.
Just to prove that he wasn't deterred, he followed that up by taking an elbowing penalty on Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews in the second period. And he wasn't done endearing himself to the Chicago faithful there.
He continued to win friends and influence people when he broke a 3-3 tie in the third period by scoring on a penalty shot, and then proceeded to taunt the Blackhawks crowd.
Oh, and that penalty shot goal? It turned out to be the game-winner for Dallas as they escaped with a 4-3 win despite getting outshot 50-18 and allowing a 3-0 lead to slip away.More from SB Nation NHL:
