Corey Crawford injury: Blackhawks goalie exits game following save

Antti Raanta has replaced him in net.

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

It's been smooth sailing this season for the Chicago Blackhawks, but an injury to netminder Corey Crawford on Sunday will change that.

Crawford exited the game in the first period after stopping a shot from Florida Panthers forward Marcel Goc. When Crawford tried to push off his left leg, he grimaced and collapsed to the ice:

He called for the trainers and was helped off the ice to the dressing room. Backup netminder Antti Raanta has replaced Crawford in net.

The Blackhawks will likely update his status later in the game, but for now Blackhawks fans are left to speculate on the severity of Crawford's injury. Chicago's top goalie is 6-3 this season with a 2.50 goals against average.
