Jets vs. Hurricanes: Amazing Alex Semin assist

New, comment

Alexander Semin with a pass that will make you say "WOW."

Alexander Semin has some crazy talent.

The Carolina Hurricanes added Semin following last season in the hopes that he would bring an offensive spark to the team. If he keeps doing stuff like this, the Hurricanes will certainly be making nightly highlight reels.

Semin made an incredible behind-the-back pass, through the Winnipeg defender's legs, and right on the tape for his teammate Jiri Tlusty, who beat goaltender Ondrej Pavalec to tie the game at one late in the first period.

Semin has a history of prolific offensive production - he has scored at least twenty goals every season since 2006, and scored forty in 2009-10. Prior to Thursday night's action he had scored three goals and eleven assists, and was Carolina's fourth-leading scorer.

Jiri Tlusty hasn't been a stranger to goal-scoring so far this season - this was his eighth of the year already. He's well on his way to surpassing his previous career best of seventeen goals scored, which came last year.

Despite this impressive goal from Carolina, the Winnipeg Jets won the game 4-3.
