Bruins vs. Sabres: Both teams salute the fans in Boston

An emotional game ended with a touching moment.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

As if Wednesday's game in Boston hadn't provided enough chills, the final few moments turned out to be just as touching.

The Sabres spoiled what was supposed to be the Bruins' night by winning in a shootout after a last-second comeback. However, in a moment of absolute class, Buffalo stayed out on the ice with the Bruins after the final whistle to salute the Bostonians in attendance. The players raised their sticks to the rafters, and the rafters rained down U-S-A chants back to the ice. It was truly a hearfelt end to an emotional game.
