Wil Wheaton, celebrity nerd, former cast member of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and possessor of more than two million Twitter followers, took over control of the official LA Kings Twitter account for the second period of their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Oh, and he was wearing a horse mask at the time.

Amazing.
Wheaton is a long-time, vocal supporter of the LA Kings, and the Kings have the hippest and most casual Twitter account in the NHL, so this is a natural fit. So far, Wheaton has alternated between standard play-by-play stuff and more personal touches:
ATTENTION KINGS FANS I HAVE TAKEN CONTROL OF YOUR TWITTER. SEND ME BEER AND NOBODY GETS HURT. Your benevolent overlord, Wil Wheaton

I’m so excited that Matt Greene is back on the ice tonight, I feel like a tween at a Bieber concert. Or a Leafs fan in 1967. *1967 GUYS*

Stoll and Foligno off for trying to dance in the presence of John Lithgow.

But of course, maybe this really IS too good to be true...
@lakings "... Wesley, Wesley - can you hear me?!? Wesley, this is not real - I repeat, this is NOT REAL. You're on the holodeck, Wesley ..."
