Tyler Ennis just sent a powerful message to the rest of the league. That message was ... don't hit him?
Ennis took issue with a relatively clean hit from Thomas Hickey as Ennis was dumping the puck in from the blueline and promptly grabbed his head and wrestled him to the ground from behind a few moments later. Predictably, a scrum ensued, and John Tavares even got into the action with a few punches of his own from his knees.
Whether he thought the hit was dirty or not, Ennis' actions resulted in a 5-on-3 for the Islanders, who didn't manage to capitalize.
