Panthers vs. Senators: Scott Clemmensen makes point-blank save on Kyle Turris

Video review was inconclusive, and the save stood.

Jim McIsaac

Scott Clemmensen just made the save of the night on Kyle Turris. Or did he?

Turris had a brilliant chance to give Ottawa the lead when he planted himself in the crease and a teammate fed him the puck from behind the net. Somehow Clemmensen managed to throw his legs up in the air and keep the puck out of the net. At least, that's what it looked like at first glance.

Video review wasn't nearly as clear-cut. Still shots showed that the puck never quite cleared the goal line, but for the briefest of moments it certainly looked like it might have gotten through for a fraction of a second.

At any rate, the refs didn't overturn their call. So all hail Clemmensen!
