From just watching this game, it's hard to say that either the Capitals or Rangers are dominating the other team. And yet Washington faces a daunting task in the third period, down 3-0 to New York.
The Rangers struck quickly in the second, catching the Capitals defense tracking the puck the other way before Taylor Pyatt potted a rebound past a sliding Braden Holtby.
Less than two minutes later, Lady Luck bid Holtby adieu. Michael del Zotto's shot deflected off of a Capitals player's skate and right through Holtby's five-hole.
Whoops. Now the Capitals have to find a way to beat the ninja in the Rangers net. Henrik Lundqvist has stopped 26 shots already and looks like he has all series long: like the guy that won the Vezina Trophy last year. Washington needs four goals on him to save their season.
