Stars defenseman Patrik Nemeth suffers scary arm laceration

Nemeth will miss the rest of the game after a skate blade cut his wrist.

Dallas Stars defenseman Patrik Nemeth will miss the rest of his team's game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday after taking a skate blade to his wrist in the first period.

The Stars are calling it an arm laceration. Whatever you want to call it, we hope Nemeth is okay after R.J. Umberger's skate blade came up and cut his wrist in an awkward play along the boards. This was just Nemeth's 13th career game as an NHL pro, and he was just settling in as a regular on the Stars blueline after an impressive debut in the 2014 NHL Playoffs against the Anaheim Ducks.

It's likely that the Stars will call up Jyrki Jokipakka from the Texas Stars if Nemeth is out for an extended period of time.
