Jonathan Toews scores game-winning shorthanded goal against Nashville

That's one way to score your first goal of the year.

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

Through three games this season, Jonathan Toews was chief among star NHL players without a goal. The Chicago Blackhawks captain broke out of that funk in a huge way on Saturday.

The Blackhawks and Nashville Predators played a grinding 1-1 hockey game all the way to overtime, where Nashville received a prime power play opportunity. But then Toews showed why he's a former Selke Trophy winner, stealing the puck at center ice and depositing the game-winning goal in Nashville's net.
