NHL schedule 2014: Wild streaking into Philly, Ryan Kesler returns to Vancouver

Minnesota has won three straight and Philly has lost three in a row. Elsewhere, Ryan Kesler makes his return to Vancouver for the first time since being traded.

It's going to be a busy Thursday across the NHL with 11 games to run with and there are a couple worth looking at closer.

The Minnesota Wild take a three-game winning streak into Wells Fargo Center to take on the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:00 p.m. ET.

While the Wild are hot, the Flyers are not as they've lost three straight. Things got bad for the Flyers on Wednesday in a 2-0 loss to the Rangers. GM Ron Hextall reportedly chewed the team out after the game for their poor effort. The Wild might be up against an angry team. The Flyers will have to be worried about Zach Parise and Nino Niederreiter who have been hot recently.

Elsewhere, the game to watch out west has the Anaheim Ducks visiting the Vancouver Canucks which means Ryan Kesler is making his valiant return to British Columbia. Kesler asked for a trade out of Vancouver last season and had his wish granted in the offseason as he was sent to Anaheim for Nick Bonino and Luca Sbisa.

Kesler has been a force for the Ducks with six goals and 15 points. He's given Anaheim the second line center to help free up Ryan Getzlaf on the top line. Getzlaf leads the Ducks in scoring with 17 points. Will Kesler get a warm reception? Asking for a trade doesn't usually make people feel warm and fuzzy.

Bonino has been solid for Vancouver himself with seven goals and 15 points - tied for third on the team with Radim Vrbata and behind the Sedins.

Here's the rest of the Thursday schedule. All games can be seen via GameCenter Live or Center Ice.
