Sidney Crosby broke a two-game scoring drought, his longest in five years

Feel free to pick out the most impressive part of that.

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Sidney Crosby broke a two-game point-scoring drought when he gave the Pittsburgh Penguins a 1-0 lead in the first period against the Boston Bruins.

It may not seem like a big deal to go two games without a point, but for Crosby it is a big deal.

The last time Crosby went two or more games without a point was a five-game scoreless streak that stretched from Oct. 31-Nov. 10, 2009. Sure, he's had some stretches missing time with injuries, but that's still over five years ago. We should all have such droughts in life.

Making things even better for Sid the Kid -- the goal was pretty nifty, too.
