Max Lapierre saves game for Blues in overtime

The biggest save of the night for St. Louis didn't come from Ryan Miller, it came from Maxim Lapierre.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

Ryan Miller really started to settle in on Thursday night after getting lit up in the first period. He was his usual self over the second and third periods to help his team get to overtime.

But it was there that he needed a little bit of help from a teammate to make sure the game didn't end in the first overtime. That is when Maxim Lapierre was in the right place at the right time in the crease behind Miller and managed to make a game-saving stop on a Kris Versteeg shot.

That is a close call.

The Blues went on to win in triple overtime thanks to an Alex Steen goal.
