The Colorado Avalanche are getting a big upgrade to their lineup for Game 6 as they try to close out their first-round series against the Minnesota Wild.
After missing the final eight games of the regular season and the first five games of the playoffs due to a knee injury, Matt Duchene will be back in the lineup on Monday night. He took part in pregame warmups skating on a line with forwards Max Talbot and Brad Malone.
Duchene, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2009 draft, appeared in 71 regular season games for the Avalanche and had one of his best seasons of his young career, finishing with a team-leading 70 points (23 goals and 47 assists).
The Avalanche enter the game leading the series, 3-2, thanks to a pair of late comebacks that were aided by Patrick Roy's aggressive goalie-pulling tactics.
