You can't do these things. You can't do these things when you're a random face in the NHL crowd. But you especially can't do them when you're Matt Cooke and not only have his suspension history, but are coming off a seven-game suspension in these playoffs.
In the first period of Game 6 against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night, Cooke was given a two-minute minor for boarding when he sent Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya flying into the boards with a hit from behind.
Every play is reviewed by the NHL, so this will surely get another look from the department of player safety, especially since they already had to deal with him in these playoffs.
