The Columbus Blue Jackets are off to the worst start in franchise history, and now their bad hockey is damaging their opponents' arenas.
Columbus trailed 1-0 in the second period on the road against the Capitals when one of their players tried to clear the puck out of their own zone. He put too much sauce on the shot apparently, because it flew right into the Verizon Center scoreboard.
Just look at the hole it left!

This is probably an elaborate form of protest by Columbus against the awful movie Pixels. Good for them. But the Capitals will probably be billing them for the maintenance work.
