The NHL is back in full force on Wednesday night with the first batch of games of the 2015-16 season, and the Toronto Maple Leafs have already found a way to make their fans think about throwing their jerseys on the ice.
Toronto hosts the rival Montreal Canadiens, and Habs captain Max Pacioretty wasted no time registering the first shot of the new NHL season. Considering it headed straight towards Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier, he probably didn't expect it to go in.
Surprise!
Or not surprise, because it's the Maple Leafs. This is expected to be a down year for the rebuilding Leafs, and if the first goal against is any indication fans might want to settle in for a long doozy of a season.
