A Tuesday night non-conference matchup between the Nashville Predators and the Ottawa Senators normally would not be the most exciting game of a packed evening of hockey. However, think again folks, as the Preds have put up the elusive hockey touchdown on the visiting Senators in a 7-5 win.
With a game sheet as long as a grocery store receipt, the two teams have combined for 12 goals in a back and forth game with 11 different goal scorers. Neither goaltender was pulled in the unusual scoring match but the home crowd was certainly given a show on a mid-week matchup.
Gabriel Bourque gave the Predators the extra point on the touchdown with this textbook tap in just above the red line.
