John Tavares stickhandles through open ice on pretty power play goal

Don't give John Tavares this much space.

Only on a 5-on-3 power play would John Tavares have so much open ice in front of a net to make as many moves as he did. The Islanders captain opened the scoring against the Rangers halfway through their game in Brooklyn, benefiting from a two player advantage on some mistakes from the visitors.

Tavares shuffled from the forehand to the backhand and back four times before pulling off a clean wrist shot past Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist. The lead wouldn't last, but the goal was certainly the prettier of the two scored in the middle period.
