The Anaheim Ducks clearly cannot wait for the newest Star Wars movie. Like most of the world, excitement has been building for the newest Star Wars installment and it has invaded the hockey world. As part of their promotional games that range from ugly sweater night to military night, one that was probably circled on the calendar of many was Star Wars night on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Fans dressed as characters, fun promotional posters were handed out, and John Williams' wonderful score pumped through the halls of the Honda Center. Perhaps the coolest part of the evening was the remixed introduction video before the start of the game, which featured one of the original trailers for The Force Awakens. Here is part of it in all it's wonderful, nerdy glory.
