Kris Versteeg hasn't had the most memorable of careers since originally leaving the Blackhawks five years ago. His latest stint has taken him to Carolina and while he hasn't been the player many remember him to be, he still has got a good pair of hands.
Versteeg cut Washington's two-goal lead in half with one of the nicest goals we will see this season, a between the legs goal that was made possible by his pick up of a loose puck off the boards.
Seriously, the coordination to pull that off in such a tight space near the post is outstanding. The Capitals only have their defense to blame as there's no way backup Philipp Grubauer would have been able to stop that one with the space Versteeg has.
