Charlie Coyle dangles around Detroit's Brendan Smith on ankle-breaking strike

The Red Wings defenseman got down right embarrassed on this.

Detroit might be missing its defenseman because of a lower body injury after this goal. The Wild have a one-goal lead over the Red Wings after one period of play, and it's all thanks to the sweet dangling skills of 23-year-old Charlie Coyle that probably broke the ankles of Detroit defenseman Brendan Smith.

It's a flawless forehand, backhand, forehand move for Coyle, who had enough time and space after deking Smith out of the play to pick the top right corner on netminder Petr Mrazek for the score. Looking at Coyle's reaction after scoring that goal is evidence enough as to how majestic that entire sequence was for the young Minnesota forward.
