Mike Smith holds the post with a toe on Johan Larsson's breakaway

Arizona got not one but two good saves in a matter of a minute.

The Sabres almost burned Arizona coming off of a penalty, but the pad and toe of Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith had other ideas. Buffalo sprung Johan Larsson as the forward was streaking out of the penalty box in an empty neutral zone, and he almost had Smith fooled too.

The first save Smith got with the toe of his boot, closing off the left post with the skate and barely saving the stuff attempt. Moments later Jordan Martinook returned the favor for Smith, swiping away an Evander Kane chance as the goaltender was making his way back into the cage.
