Kari Lehtonen allows game-winner in OT, throws stick in frustration

The Finnish goalie didn't take Dallas' loss well on Saturday.

The 2014-15 season has been a tough one for Kari Lehtonen. Once a top prospect in Atlanta, the oft-criticized goalie has been decidedly mediocre of late, and with a save percentage below .910 is at risk of losing his job to newly acquired Jhonas Enroth.

Dallas' matchup against the Red Wings on Saturday was particularly tough for Lehtonen, who allowed seven goals -- including the game-winner in overtime. Niklas Kronwall beat the veteran Finn 36 seconds into the extra frame to give Detroit a 7-6 victory.

Lehtonen, who lets his emotions get the best of him from time to time, didn't take the loss particularly well.

It'll be interesting to see how the Stars manage their goalies moving forward. Enroth fared well in Buffalo -- all things considered -- and may be the team's best option in net. Lehtonen certainly didn't do himself any favors tonight.
