Auston Matthews scored four goals on the first six shots of his NHL career

And just like that, Auston Matthews has scored his first career NHL goal. Oh, and his second too! Then a third! In just the first 22 minutes of the game! And wait, he got a fourth too at the end of the second!

It took just eight minutes and 21 seconds into the first game of the 2016-17 NHL season for Matthews to make an impact, and what a goal it was. Matthews then proceeded to score all four Maple Leafs goals in quick fashion to become the first NHL player to do so in their professional debut.

Matthews parents were even in the arena to celebrate his first goal and all the subsequent ones after!

Six shots, four goals for Matthews. Incredible stuff from the No. 1 overall pick.
