It turns out Nazem Kadri’s hit on Daniel Sedin was the tipping point between the Maple Leafs and Canucks on Saturday. Because as the third period continued, things got chaotic.
Canucks forward Alexandre Burrows retaliated by clipping Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly in the offensive zone, and that kicked off BRAWL FESTIVITIES.
We had Rielly vs. Burrows.
We had Derek Dorsett vs. Referee.
We had Ryan Miller vs. EVERYONE vs. EVERYONE ELSE.
We had GOALIE VS. GOALIE.
But nothing topped this moment of magic from Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner. Unfazed.
Fourth liners and goalies are fighting each other, and all Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner want to do is sing some Bon Jovi together pic.twitter.com/hSBFpoKLWm— Jeff Veillette (@JeffVeillette) November 6, 2016
Thank you, Canucks and Leafs, for the best hockey brawl in years.
